Linhai, located on the southeast coast of Zhejiang, is a national historical and cultural city. Linhai is one of the regions with high concentration and large scale of the outdoor leisure products industry in the country. It produces eight series of outdoor furniture and other products. It has more than 1,000 manufacturers and supporting enterprises, including more than 160 large-scale enterprises.

In 2017, Linhai's outdoor leisure products industry had a regulated output value of more than 21 billion yuan, self-operated exports of 8.6 billion yuan, and more than 90% of its products were exported to developed countries such as Europe and the United States. Linhai is named by the Ministry of Commerce as the “National Demonstration Base for the Transformation and Upgrading of Outdoor Leisure Products,” which is one of the few nationally designated by the Ministry of Commerce. It is also the “China Outdoor Furniture and Garden Leisure Products Export Base”, “China Leisure Products Gift Production Base” and “Linhai, Zhejiang Optoelectronic Integration Technology and Trade Innovation Base"
